Member Services Update - March 2020

Category: AINDT News

In the last edition of the Industrial Eye, we advised members that the federal office was in the process of reviewing the results from last year’s membership survey. The survey has provided some interesting insights into what our members think of our current membership offer, and what you would like to see from the institute moving forward. These findings will be used to help formulate a strategic marketing plan for the AINDT.

A summary of the results is available in this edition of the journal. If you have any questions about these, or would like to make a suggestion about what we can do to further improve the value of your membership with us, please don’t hesitate to contact the federal office.

Speaking of membership, we would like to remind members that we are leading up to our renewal period. There has never been a better time to ensure your membership with AINDT is current.

We will be contacting members in the coming weeks with detailed information regarding what the institute has planned off the back of our strategic marketing plan for the next 12-18 months, as we place a revised focus on improving our existing services and benefits. Many of these added services and benefits come straight from our continued engagement with industry representatives and branch volunteers including…

  • Driving membership with greater communication around the value and benefits of membership;
  • Improving existing online services;
  • Reviewing the current model of branch events to ensure they are accessible to a wider spread of members in both metro and regional areas as well as relevant to a large audience;
  • Looking at the notion of recorded webinars for people to access and;
  • Greater use of the AINDT social media platforms.

With these, and many more plans being implemented, we advise you to be sure to get your renewals into us as early as possible in the new financial year.

Branch Events:
Behind the scenes, our AINDT State Branch Councils have been planning new social events and technical nights for 2020. Branch events are a great way for members and perspective members to gather and network in a relaxed environment, while sharing and learning new skills with one another. AINDT are also looking at the prospect of roadshows across Australia later in the year, and will advise more about these over the coming months.

We also remind you that we are always open to member suggestions, and if there are any events, whether they be technical or socially focused, that you would like to see us run, please let us know.

Please note: In light of the recent events around COVID-19, most branch events have been postponed until further notice. During this time, the AINDT Federal Office is working closely with the state branches to ensure the health and well-being of the AINDT staff, our members and the wider community in which we operate.

That said, we would also like to remind you that whilst branch gatherings are on hold for the time being, that the branch and federal office are still here to assist you during this challenging period. Like many of you, we are acting on the advice and instructions from the federal government, and will keep everyone updated via our e-newsletter, website and social media as to when our regular branch activities can recommence.

Whilst on the subject of future events, planning continues for the Asia Pacific Conference for NDT in October 2021, and we are now receiving steady interest from companies wishing to book exhibition booths and secure sponsorship packages. The exhibition and sponsorship's are valuable elements of the conference. A range of sponsorship and exhibition opportunities are available for your organisation to participate in the conference and consolidate your brand and position in the industry, whilst meeting face to face with leaders in the field.

Packages and commitment levels vary and can be tailored to suit your marketing needs. Talk to us about how APCNDT 2021 can assist in meeting your marketing objectives.

The AINDT Federal Office, along with the APCNDT 2021 Organising Committee, are holding regular meetings to ensure they plan a world class event. With spaces filling quickly, we strongly urge all companies to register as either exhibitors or sponsors as soon as possible.
