AINDT Victoria Branch - Christmas BBQ Wrap-up

The Victorian branch of AINDT held it’s annual family Christmas BBQ at Myuna farm on 28th November. Following a wet week in Melbourne, the clouds finally parted on what became a very enjoyable day for members, family and children. While the Victorian Branch President flipped sausages and burgers, other council members and members families were left to enjoy the parks many farm animals and entertainment which included pony rides, tractor rides and a petting area where kids were allowed to get close to rabbits and guinea pigs.
 
Myuna Farm is a public community farm in the south-east area of Melbourne. It is an excellent example of farming life with lots to do for the whole family. The farm lets everyone of all ages and abilities experience hands on contact with a variety of animals. Alongside the Dandenong Creek, it offers a special environment of river gums, wetlands and bird life.
 
The day started at 10am and was well attended with many families staying well into the afternoon. Here are some pics from the day...
